The most interesting chocolate museum in the whole world can be found in Middelburg. We tell the story from bean to chocolate and everything that goes with it. In the atmospheric space, we take you to Africa, right in the cocoa plantations. We let you see, smell, feel, taste, and experience cocoa and chocolate.

Huis ‘s Hertogenbosch at Vlasmarkt 51 is a new location where various activities are organised by Stichting Chocolate Lovers. All proceeds we earn there are used to realise theWillie Wonka Villa.

A full visit to Sjakie’s Chocolademuseum lasts according to us 120 minutes.

The Willie Wonka Villa is a project of Stichting Chocolate Lovers. This foundation, established in 2013, supports people and families dealing with serious illness or the death of children, friends, or family. We create beautiful moments for families with chronically ill children, we fulfil last wishes of children and young people, and we enhance the joy of life for older, demented family members.

The heart of our activities is formed by our Chocoladewinkel and Sjakie’s Galerie, located at Vlasmarkt in Middelburg. The entire proceeds from the shop and the gallery benefit our objective.

The Willie Wonka Villa will be the third location of Chocolate Lovers. The Villa is a group accommodation where 8 families with long-term and seriously ill children can go for a carefree and fully catered holiday filled with fun activities, good food, and a lovely stay in one of the apartments. Each apartment is equipped with facilities for specific care.

It is our intention that the Willie Wonka Villa will be a reality in five years. In the meantime, we have a large number of partners and we are well on our way in financing the Villa. However, we urgently need your support, in whatever form. Support the establishment of the Willie Wonka Villa!

  Een nobel streven; de Stichting Willie Wonka Villa wil gezinnen met langdurig/ernstig zieke kindjes verwennen in een vakantieverblijf, zoals destijds het Colombinehuis uit Biddinghuizen dat ook deed.
